From the ‘Gillespie Collection’ of monochrome prints from glass photographic plates, a view of two ladies and two gentlemen recently disembarked or about to embark on an aircraft at Dornoch airfield. This aircraft appears to be the De Havilland DH84 Dragon which regularly flew into Dornoch on mail flights. See 2011.006.21 Image Library 5475 and 2006.301 Image Library 2548, the later showing this aircraft in preservation at the Science Museum.
