From the ‘Gillespie Collection’ of monochrome prints from glass photographic plates, a view of Abden built by Robert Hamilton Bruce who built and owned ‘The Grange’ which became the Royal Golf Hotel. Abden became Ross Hostel and then Ross House and it stands in Grange Road, opposite the Royal Golf Hotel the roof of which can be seen beyond Abden
