Evelix Road approach to Dornoch

First in the collection of monochrome prints produced from the glass photographic plates in the ‘Gillespie Collection’. The spire of Dornoch Cathedral can be seen on the distant skyline in this view taken from Camore on the Evilix Road approach to Dornoch from the west. At this point the road cuts through grass and gorse covered mounds, which can be seen in the foreground on either side of the road, which are part of the gravel Esker running NE to the coast just south of Embo.
