I think your new date of 1920 is still much too early as you can see the holes which were only created after the Second World War. The same comment applies to several of these photographs.
Later than 1946 as the 7th fairway (present course) is clearly visible.
Comment left on 22 April 2016 at 13:42 by Duncan Leslie It has been very difficult to judge the date and context of the majority of the 329 golf photographs received in this series, with very limited complementary explanatory detail provided. Obviously we hope that comments via the Image Library will present factual information which we can feed back to the museum catalogue record. Our cataloguing system has 'Early' and 'Late' dates so that we can apply a timeframe to each image and it is the 'Early' date which is used when uploading record detail to the Image Library. In this case we have now amended the early date to 1948. Administrator
