This has to be an awful lot later than 1900 because this amount of whins didn't encroach on to the course until maybe the 1970s. Also, in the top left of the picture you can see the faint scar of a path going up the raised beach. This path was only made in 1946 or 1947, to take golfers up to the newly constructed 7th hole.
