I think the barman's name was Campbell (first name maybe George) and that he worked in John Grant & Sons the butchers before he was employed by the club.

Bells is a Scotch WHISKY not an Irish WHISKEY! ~ many thanks for your comment, the spelling has been amended. Adminstrator.
