The player sixth in from the left is Thomas Fraser, he had two daughters after the war my sister Jean born 1946 and myself Heather born 1949. If anyone can offer any knowledge about his lifestyle when this picture was taken and before, it would be wonderful for us to know what he did before joining the Royal Navy in 1939

Dornoch FC in season 1937-38 were able to muster some outstanding players, four from Embo and others from Lairg and Bonar.
I have a print of this photograph with all the persons named:
Back row - J. Shearer (Dornoch), W. Laing (Dornoch, W. Blacklass (Lairg), A. Moore (Dornoch), H. Munro (Dornoch), T. Fraser (Embo), A. Ross (Bonar), D. Bethune (Bonar), H. MacKay (Embo), Dr Strachan (Dornoch), F. Gunn (Dornoch).
Front row - D. Sutherland (Dornoch), J. Sinclair (Dornoch), C. Munro (Dornoch), R. MacLeod (Lairg), B. Gillie (Embo) and A. Watt (Embo).
D. Sutherland was my great uncle Dr "Derek" John Hugh Sutherland who had latterly lived at The Poles.
