Bid to learn more about Skibo Castle
Copy of an article published in the Northern Times with the title ' Bid to learn more about everyday life at Skibo Castle'. The article highlights the Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle hosting a 'Memories of Skibo' night at the Dornoch Social Club on Wednesday 1st July to learn more about those who worked at Skibo Castle during the Carnegie family era (1898-1982) when the estate comprised more than 20,000 acres and encompassed the settlements of Clashmore to the east and Bonar Bridge to the west. For much of the 20th century there were few in the region who could not claim a connection to Skibo. Any material gathered at the 'Memories of Skibo' night will add to the Carnegie Club archive and will be shared with Historylinks Museum to make it publicly available.
