Framed 'Entertainments Duty Rural Areas' providing public notice of the Commissioners of His Majesty's Customs and Excise exemption from entertainments duty for all entertainments given at Dornoch Cathedral Congregational Hall, Castle Street, Dornoch (known locally as 'West Church Hall'). The number of the the notice at top left is 232 and it bears a Customs and Excise Inverness date stamp at bottom left. The date is feint but it appears to be 25 Mar 1949 which conforms with the form no. 'Sec 23230/1948". It is signed at bottom right by the Collector of Customs and Excise. The frame is black wooden beading.
