I have a (not very good) photocopy of a notice of eviction of tenants in Inchcap and Rossal (Rogart parish) at Whitsun, 1819, that starts with the name of CHARLES ROSS...Sheriff Depute of Sutherland. I think the document is from the National Archives of Scotland. Were the notices of eviction ever served? The eviction was never carried out. Can you throw any light on this non-clearance?
