First of a series of 5 colour photographs provided by Peter Webber of a possible Crannog, a partly or entirely artificial island, at Creich grid ref: NH 64228 88066. The site is on a sand bank south of Creich Mains, built of stones with some exposed timbers. It is only viewable at low tide. Although resembling a crannog the timbers are less substantial than expected. If not a crannog it could be something to do with salmon fishing or the animal ferry crossing in this location. The map at the end of this catalogue series shows the location of the Crannog.
