The Call of Our Allies and Response
A blue card covered booklet with the title 'The Call of Our Allies and The Response of the Scottish Women's Hospitals for Foreign Service'. It is described as a "Brief record of the work of the Scottish Women's Hospitals in France and Serbia - organised by the Scottish Federation of the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies". Printed in June 1915 by Hay Nisbet & Co Ltd Printers 73 Dunlop Street, Glasgow, the 47 page booklet provides details of the Scottish Women's Hospital Committee and Administrative Staff and Headquarters Units in London and Wales. The text is illustrated with monochrome photographs and the sections on the Work in Kragujevatz by the Serbian Unit and at Troyes by the Girton and Newnham Unit, included details of Matrons and Nurses. Pages 43 - 46 list the 'Named Beds' in hospitals in France and Serbia with a panel showing that £25 will name a bed for six months, £50 for a year and £350 will name and equip an ambulance. Page 47 provides a contribution proforma.
