John Sutherland family album
A set of 30 pages of monochrome photographs, the majority studio studies, from a family album. In 1933 John Sutherland was publicly honoured in recognition of his valued services to the Royal Dornoch Golf Club in the capacity of secretary for 50 years, during which the course developed to be one of the finest in the country, and for the welfare and development of the community at large as Town Clerk Dornoch. (see picture #4272 report, reprinted from the Northern Times, of the public presentation on Sep 7 1933). The initial group photograph bears an inscription above 'John Sutherland - Bunny's grandfather' and indicates John is the standing member of the group of five young men each holding a golf club or ball.
