Dornoch Academy - 'Youngsters raise thousands'
An article published in the Northern Times of Friday 27 June 2014, recording the presentation of a citation certificate from the World President of Rotary, Ron Burton of Oklahoma, to Dornoch Academy's Interact Club. The Junior Rotary Club had a superb year raising thousands of pounds for charities such as Cash for Kids, Shelter Box, Shoeboxes for Eastern Europe, the Dornoch Lifeboat, Polio Irradication, Well Child, the Moylan Urquhart Trust, ESRA and Children in Need. Additionally the club connected with local organisations such as Oversteps Home, where they helped the residents learn to use tablets and IT devices, and supported the local Rotary Club at many events.
