My birth certificate tells me that I was born in Cuthill Dornoch November 25 1924. What was Cuthill then? Was it an area or a house? Is there any connection with nearby Skibo castle? Were there many people with my name living in Cuthill or Dornoch in 1924?

Cuthill is part of the Skibo Estate and there is a Farmhouse, 3 Labourers cottages and substantial steadings on the site. A little further away is the Old Smithy. So there would have been a small number of people living in that area. According to the 1922 Labour lists, there was a Tacksman and family, Labourer and family, Tailor and Mason living there, I'm afraid I could find no reference to the name Georgeson
