The article records that 32 players, from as far south as Derbyshire and as far north as Orkney, took part in the Dornoch Cathedral Golf Event to raise funds for the West Church Hall development, held on the championship and the Struie courses at the Royal Dornoch Golf Club. Following the event more than 50 people attended an auction dinner, when trophies were awarded and, with good humour, the Rev Susan Brown conducted an auction. The photograph shows the trophy winners with the auctioneer.
