A collection of 44 monochrome postcards showing fishing scenes around Scotland in the early 20th century. Monchrome photograph with the title 'Mending the Nets at Portknockie Harbour' showing a seated fisherman, wearing waders folded down at the knee, mending a fishing net which is spread out before him. The reverse bears two blue Elizabeth II 1 d stamps and one orange half penny stamp with a Portknockie postmark. The message is dated 11 Sep 54. The postcard is one of the M and L National Series and bears a number (10a) on the front.
