A collection of 44 monochrome postcards showing fishing scenes around Scotland in the early 20th century. Monchrome photograph the a title 'Auchmithie' showing a fisherman and two women standing at low tide in the harbour with small fishing boats in the background. One woman is carrying a creel on her back. There is an annotation at bottom left 'Anckorn' the name of the photographers shown on the rear of the postcard 'Mr and Mrs Anckorn, Arbroath'. The reverse bears the second part of correspondence from 'Jim' referring to the bussle of a train journey (Underground?) in London and his onward journey to Edinburgh and then the horse fair in Dublin.
