A three-fold A4 size free colour information leaflet with a monochrome front cover photograph of two men peat cutting and the title 'Traditional Peatcutting in the North - past and present'. The cover bears sponsorship logos of Scottish Natural Heritage, RSPB, Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise and European Union Life. With colour photographs and monochrome sketch of peat cutting implements the leaflet covers peat cutting throught the years, the future, best practice and the Peatlands of Caithness and Sutherland. There is acknowledgement to the Life Peatlands Project, Dunbeath Preservation Trust, the Caithness Heritage Trust and, in particular, John Johnston of Bettyhill for providing much of the text for the leaflet.
