Two cardboard boxes containing (b) Ergometrine Maleate (length 68 mm width 54mm depth 12mm) and (a) Pituitrin (width 82mm depth 30mm height 64mm) used as an injection to speed up delivery of afterbirth . Part of Dr Aeneas Macleod's medical bag for maternity home delivery, Dr Aeneas Macleod was a General Practitioner in Lairg until 1946 when he took over from Dr Strachan in Dornoch.
