Tenth of ten A4 sheets of writing exercises of pupils of Skibo School, Clashmore, including monochrome photograph. The school was open during the period 1939-1968 but the monochrome photographs indicate the exercises could have written in the 1940's. This exercise by Billy Cook is about the Dornoch Pipe Band.

Not the 1940's. Billy Cook was on my year in the Academy so he would have left Skibo School in 1959. I would think this is from the late 50's. The piper on the left is Jim Duff, could be Ali MacLean just behind the Drum Major, Sinclair Gunn. The drummer looks like John Grant. Mhari Lindsay, who signed one of the other exercises was in the year ahead of us.
