Annotated version of monochrome aerial photograph of the Carling Bank area of Dornoch c 1950, showing 'Carling Bank' Hazel Cameron's bungalow originally builty by Albert Lewis Snr, with his joiners workshop on the right. The house behind the workshop was build by Neil Macdonald and in the foreground is Seaforth MacGregor's coach and workshop. The whole area was originally owned by Mrs Sudlow of Ospisdale.

About 1963 or so Albert started to build Carling Bank Guest House which became Mallin House later and he built it American style as a skeleton build, the superstructure was standing on a Thursday evening when myself, Sandy Pipie, Hunter Donaldson and Harry Hamish Sutherland were waiting on the first tee of the golf course to play in an almost gale force wind when the whole building slowly collapsed in a heap, but give him his due Albert had the place rebuilt very quickly after that and it stood for a number of years
