That is the start of the cresta run as we called it in the wintertime when it froze over and we sledged, much to the annoyance of the local police officers, right down to Station Road with no regard to safety or cars on Station Road.

Does anybody else remember the winter of 1955 when we banked the snow on both sides of the path and sledged down over Station Road with three Police officers, Andy Lister, Macky Cumming and the sergeant Charlie Rhoden, trying to point out the error of our ways? Good clean harmles fun or so we thought at the time.
