Four buttons of various sizes, 18th or early 19th Century discovered by a metal detectorist on Pitgrudy Farm, Dornoch. All the copper alloy/white metal buttons have loop fastenings, Two buttons are white metal ( either silver or tombac which is zinc & copper and has a silvery appearance) on the front copper alloy on the reverse, both slightly domes with a raised edge on front, 1 with complete loop; 2 copper alloy – 1 flat with soldiered loop and 1 possibly white metal plated front and decoration on reverse of interlaced leaves and the letters ?’ATED’.
