Extract from Northern Times 'From our Old Files' with two articles. The first from November 3rd 1961 reporting the discovery in the strong room of the Clydesdale and North of Scotland Bank in Dornoch of the Lauder Cup for lifesaving which had been missing since 1928. The second of November 5th 1936 records a fine of £1 imposed on a Dornoch farm servant for riding his bicycle after lighting-up time withoug having the necessary front light, and the presentation by Lady Baden-Powell at Inverness of a Special Service medal to Mrs Robichaud of Dornoch in recognition of her deep interest in the Girl Guide movement in Sutherland for many years.
