Royal Mail postbox with VR insignia originally mounted in a stone pier on the south side of Castle Street, Dornoch, adjacent to Purvis Electrician's shop. The last collection from this box was in September 2000. The postbox was number 275 model number WB87/2 Type C manufactured by Allen between 1886 and 1901. It was donated to Historylinks Museum and is now mounted in the wall of the reception desk at the entrance to the museum
