Hello, I am pleased to see the pictures of the interior of the Grange. May I please assume that you were given these copies by an earlier owner of the Royal Golf Hotel (John - whose surname I cannot recall)as I am the owner and possessor of the original photographs. The Grange was my mother's home during her infancy when the house was owned by Robert Hamilton Bruce. I have in my possession a book called 'The Family Patchwork' written by Catherine Anne Hamilton Bruce, daughter of Robert HB. It is my intention to bequeath my Hamilton Bruce possessions to yourselves and I may send them in the next few years if you are interested. At the moment I am trying to complete my Family Tree with the help of the Hamiltons (Andrew, brother of Robert HB) who emigrated to New Zealand in the early 1900's. There are many family photographs in the book which I can gladly email to you. Comment left on 06 February 2013 at 11:15 by Anne Hamilton Bruce Many thanks for your comment. Yes these are your photographs passed on to us by John (we also do not have his surname recorded and sadly he has since died) in 2004. We are very grateful for the donation of these rare photographs and would be delighted to have any other Hamilton Bruce information and possessions that you would like to donate to the Museum. Two years ago our temporary display which changes each year was of prominent people in Dornoch's past and Robert Hamilton Bruce was one of those people. I will send you a copy of the display information under separate email. Once again thank you for the once removed donation of these photographs Administrator
