Historylinks Field Walking Survey April 2010
Copy of the illustrated report of the Historylinks Field Walking Survey on 30th April 2010 at Embo Mains Farm undertaken by members of the Dornoch Heritage Society and children from Dornoch Primary School. The report includes details of pre-event briefing of Primary 6 children and the Heritage Society members taking part, the organisation of the fieldwalk and post event activity. Colour photographs are embedded in the text and it has two Appendices. Appendix 1 is a 'Survey Bag List' with names of fieldwalkers, their bag number and where finds where recovered. Appendix 2 is a 'Finds Listing' compiled by Sue Higgins, Project Finds Officer. A Northern Times article on the Survey is at 2010_083_02. The total collection of photographs of finds is held on a CD (archived in Box M1 with catalogue number 2010_083_03) with sub folders of photographs of finds by bag number; a subsequent Historylinks Museum display; and a selection of prominent finds.
