New information about George Sutherland is that he came from a croft at Birichen and left there in 1872 to become a police constable in Glasgow. His fathers name was Innes (still a family name)who died in 1885. George was one of 7 children.I am trying to trace any living relatives of Innes Sutherland from Birichen.
