Re Murdo MacPherson Achvandra Muir, Dornoch
Since discovering your website, I have unearthed details of ancestors dating back to
1828 when John Macpherson married Christina Ross, and they stayed at Grumbie, Rogart.
I can't find any history on Grumbie, and would be grateful if anyone could give me any
more information.

Hello, is it Muriel?
IS it information you are looking for about the Macphersons who stayed in Achinael, above
Cambusmore lodge, back in about 1961 or some thing like that?

Hello, this is Muriel. Thank you for your reply, I just read it today. I don`t think that could be the same Macpherson family, but I could be wrong. I was born in 1947, and a frequent visitor to Dornoch over the years. I don`t recall the name Achinael, but I will check it,as I still have many relations in the Dornoch area. Thank you again, Muriel

Muriel - the Macpherson's moved from Grumbie to Achineal (near Torbol) so John Gordon's information would be interesting

You folk are doing a wonderful job
What a great web site. So many useful comments, and updates on images etc and great feedback from old and not so old Dornochians! I'm surprised if this is really your first 'site' comment - you should have had more!
Congratulations to all the in-house team, contributers, and supporters for their hard work on making this site a 'must visit again' winner. Thank you all, for bringing back so many happy memories.
