Since discovering your website, I have unearthed details of ancestors dating back to 1828 when John Macpherson married Christina Ross, and they stayed at Grumbie, Rogart. I can't find any history on Grumbie,and would be grateful if anyone could give me any more information.

Hello, this is Muriel. Thank you for your reply, I just read it today. I don`t think that could be the same Macpherson family, but I could be wrong. I was born in 1947, and a frequent visitor to Dornoch over the years. I don`t recall the name Achinael,but I will check it,as I still have many relations in the Dornoch area. Thank you again, Muriel
