Monochrome photograph of a school Mod choir of mixed aged children walking towards the camera. The photograph was given to the donor by Dr Colin Macrae (3rd row right). Those identified are:

Well I think that I can add four names..1st row:- second from left Donella Cumming and third from left Jessie Joan Grant and behind her Georgina Moore and on her left Anna MacKay (Anna aigh John P) all from Embo. I think I can also see Jessa Fraser in the 4th row 4th from the left and also from Embo.

Sutherland Education Committee, at Lairg on 26 July, 1950, appointed Mr Allan F. Robertson, Headmaster of Dornoch Academy. He took up the post on 11th September, suceeding Mr J C Ligertwood who was appointed Head Master of West Calder High School.
Suggests this photo is more likely to be 1940's or at the latest 1950.

My mother is Hetty Wilson - what a surprise to see this photo! She was born in 1934, so a date of 1950 or just before would seem to be right, but I will ask her to check.
