Achosnich watermill

Colour photo of site of mill lade at Achosnich watermill. In this view, the mill-lade comes into sight rounding the slope and coming straight towards the camera. Mr James Mitchell stands on the west bank, looking west towards Achosnich crofthouse. Sadly rubbish, including a lot of glass, has been dumped in the mill-lade, with a view to filling it in. The Allt Loch Lannsaidh burn runs, out of sight, behind Mr Mitchell from the upper right margin at the skyline, obliquely down to the lower left margin of the frame.
The track up the hillside behind joins at the top with the old track from upper Rearquhar, west to the croft of Strathan, at the very top of Strath Ach a Bhathaich valley. It is negotiable only by horse or farm tractor.
