Great, what was the shed on the right used for?

I can see the three children at the end of the platform but I cannot make out the top advertisement but it could be showing a medicine bottle. However, the bottom one appears to be for Buchanan's Black and White Scotch whisky. Incidently Buchanan's Black and White is the best selling Scotch whisky in South Africa at this time and sells for Rand 86.00 for 750ml. This is about BPS 7.15 at the current rate of exchange.
