Aussie visitor's historic dress

Extract from the Northern Times of Friday November 1, 2019, with the title "Aussie visitor's historic dress." The article with three accompanying colour photographs recounts that Barbara Francis, and Australian visitor researching her scottish roots, arrived at Historylinks Museum with an unexpected treasure, a three hundred year old woven silk dress, originally worn by one of her ancestors. The dress gives an important insight into 18th century Highland culture. Ms Francis is descended from the Grey family who lived at Skibo Castle.
